Haunted is Haunted

Herriman, Utah.  A town built upon the meeting sites of certain secret societies.  Lynchings and murders were rumored to have happened within the terrain of the southern hillside of the town boundaries.  These were kept quiet because the victims were students of the local high school.  The district officials felt that if the murders were reported to the public, other students would be influenced and more undesirable behaviors would escalate.  Their reasoning being that in the past one suicide always led to others.
City officials and building commissioners were eager as slick water flowing toward the easiest coarse into the gutters of the sewers.  Building permits for this prestigious property were sold to several builders hell bent on earning every dollar that could be made.  No one  seemed too concerned about the history of the land.  It would later be the unsuspecting buyers of the cute town homes that would ultimately pay the price for this indisretion.
One such couple moved into a townhome that they were renting from a second party owner, which they knew not of his name.  This was to be a new beginning for the newly wed couple.  They had previous to this found times to be difficult with their finances and were feeling that the tide was finally about to turn for them.  They moved into the two-story home with their two toy poodles.  One black and the other a white one.  Peaceful little dogs with sweet spirits who are dearly loved by their owners.  I mention this fact only because of the events that were soon to take place and the havoc that almost took the life of their dear sweet Blackie.
I don't feel that it would enhance this story by any means to tell of every single paranormal event that took place within the walls of this house, for there are too many to write of.  I will start by writing of the first indication that all was not as is normal for this world.  The wife spent many hours late at night studying on her computer to get liscenced as a medical transcriptionist.  Learning Latin was a frustrating plight for her and so she usually didn't retire for the night until about 3 a.m. in the morning.  Her husband would retire between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m..
This particular evening was not out of the norm for them.  Her husband was upstairs in the bedroom by midnight getting ready for bed when he decided to come down the stairs for a glass of water.  He met his wife on the stairs as she was going up.  The stopped and paused to pass when the wife said to him, "Do you know this home is haunted?"  She said it expecting to shock him.  But his reply was immediate. He answered with a calm but stern, "Yes.".  this surprised his wife since she thought she was the only one in their home aware of certain goings on.  She continued to ask him questions.  Things that she had experienced and he confirmed that he was aware of them as well.  They had both heard voices in the same area of the home.  A female and two male voices.  They sounded distant yet right next to them.  Many other things happened later on in the home.  Locked doors opening by themselves.  Feelings of being watched.  And always the voices almost every night at the same hour, could be heard.  The final factor in the couples quick retreat from their  home with only a few belongings and their dogs began like this.  Several photos had been taken at night for some sort of proof to what it was they were dealing with.  They were fortunate in capturing a couple photos with a ghostly woman standing in their hallway.  One week their beautiful, happy Blackie stopped eating.  She stopped drinking.  She was unable to stand or even sit.  All she did was shake.  The couple prayed day and night for the recovery of their pet.  Every day she seemed to get even worse.  the were afraid emminent death was near.  On the 5th morning of her illness, which they felt was brought on by this entity that shared their home, the wife got out of bed at 5 a.m. in the morning and started packing up.  Her husband asked what she was doing.  She promptly replied, "I'm outta here!"  They left that day leaving many of their belongs behind or trashed.
Blackie recovered swiftly.  The wife investigated the building site of that home.  What she found out only validated the paranormal activities that had happened to them while living there.  A gang murder had occurred on the property in which the home was built.  The wife's son knew about this through friend's of his and had been sworn to secrecy, which was another possible reason why they had been haunted.  This is a true story.
